We’re proud to share the outcomes of our most recent Ofsted inspection, which highlights the dedication of our staff, the positive attitudes of our students, and the strong, respectful relationships that shape life at Chiltern Hills Academy.
Following our Section 8 inspection in September 2022, Chiltern Hills Academy was confirmed as a ‘Good’ school, and the report celebrates many of the qualities that make our school a safe, inclusive, and aspirational place to learn.
The inspection team recognised our strong sense of community and our shared commitment to helping every young person Create, Aspire and Excel.
Among the key strengths highlighted were:
Pupils feel safe, respected, and well supported. Inspectors noted how positive relationships between students and staff underpin our calm, focused and welcoming atmosphere
Our curriculum is broad, balanced and ambitious. Leaders and staff are determined to ensure every student, no matter their background, can thrive academically and personally.
The report praised our inclusive ethos and dedicated SEND provision, which ensures all students are given the support they need to grow, achieve and feel part of the school community.
Pupils show maturity, motivation and pride in their work. The inspection recognised how consistently high expectations are embedded across the school.
From Year 8 onwards, students benefit from purposeful careers education, enrichment, and work-related opportunities, preparing them well for life beyond school.
Our staff are passionate and dedicated. The report highlights the professional support and development they receive and the positive culture fostered by school leaders.
Safeguarding is a priority at Chiltern Hills Academy. The inspection confirmed our systems are effective and that students know how to access help if they need it.
