At Chiltern Hills Academy, our Christian foundation is at the heart of everything we do. As a Church of England school, sponsored by the Diocese of Oxford, we are guided by the words of Jesus in John 10:10 – “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” This vision shapes our daily life, our curriculum, and the way we care for every member of our community.
Our ethos — Create, Aspire, Excel — reflects our belief that every child is a unique individual, made in the image of God, with their own gifts, talents and potential. We seek to nurture those gifts so that our students flourish academically, socially and spiritually, and go on to lead lives of purpose, service and hope.
Our core values of honesty, respect, compassion, love, forgiveness, self-discipline and hope are not just words on a page — they are lived out in our classrooms, corridors and community. They guide how we learn, how we treat each other, and how we respond to the world around us.
Through collective worship, Thought for Chiltern Hills Academy (TFCHA) sessions, and opportunities for service, we encourage our students to explore life’s big questions, develop moral courage, and deepen their understanding of themselves and others.

While our ethos is rooted in the Christian faith, we welcome and celebrate students and families of all faiths and none. We believe that diversity enriches our school, and we are committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels valued, respected and able to thrive.

Our aim is that every young person who leaves Chiltern Hills Academy does so with more than just qualifications. We want our students to have the character, confidence and compassion to make a positive difference — locally, nationally and globally.

We put our Christian values into practice every day — in the way we learn, serve, and support one another. Worship, reflection, and opportunities to live out our faith are woven into school life.

We welcome students of all backgrounds and beliefs, recognising that every person is valued by God. Our school is a place where diversity is celebrated, inclusion is championed, and everyone belongs.

We help students grow into confident, thoughtful and compassionate young adults — ready to take their place in the world and contribute positively to society.
