Charitable Giving and Community Support

At Chiltern Hills Academy, giving back to others is part of who we are. Inspired by our Christian values—especially compassion and love—we encourage all members of our school community to look beyond themselves and make a difference.

We believe in helping our students understand the power of kindness, generosity, and social responsibility. Supporting charities—both local and national—is one important way we live out our values and make a positive impact in the wider world.

Student-Led Giving

Each year, our Head Student Committee takes the lead in organising events to raise funds and awareness for causes that matter. These student-led initiatives not only support those in need but also help our students build leadership skills and grow in empathy and teamwork.

Some of the charities we regularly support include:

  • Jeans for Genes
  • Wear It Pink – Breast Cancer Awareness
  • Macmillan Coffee Morning
  • Children in Need
  • Save the Children – Christmas Jumper Day

We also donate food and essential items throughout the year to the Chiltern Food Bank, supporting families in our local area.

Partnerships That Make a Difference

Our connection with MIND, the mental health charity, is especially close. Throughout the academic year, we provide mentor training for older students so they can support and guide younger peers, building a culture of care and understanding.

More Than Fundraising

While raising money is part of our work, we also focus on raising awareness and encouraging action. Whether it’s donating food, giving time, or lending a listening ear, we remind our students that everyone can make a difference.

“Helping lead the school’s food bank drive made me feel like I could make a difference. It showed me that leadership isn’t just about speaking up—it’s about doing something for others.”
