School Policies

Chiltern Hills Academy is a single-academy trust—a type of state school that operates with greater independence from the local authority. This means we have control over how we deliver the curriculum, how we manage our finances, and how we make decisions in the best interests of our students.

As an academy, we are held to high standards through national accountability frameworks and are governed by a board of trustees. This structure helps ensure strong leadership, transparent decision-making, and effective long-term planning for the school community.

Clear, Transparent, and Supportive

At Chiltern Hills Academy, our policies are designed to reflect our values of honestycompassionrespect, and self-discipline. They help guide our decisions, support student wellbeing, and ensure every member of our school community feels safe, included, and empowered to succeed.

We want all families, staff, and visitors to feel confident in how we work and what we stand for. That’s why we’re committed to being clear and transparent in everything we do—from admissions and attendance to safeguarding and support for additional needs.

Regularly Reviewed

All policies are regularly reviewed and updated in line with national guidance and local priorities.

If you would like help understanding any policy or would prefer a printed copy, please contact the school office—we’re happy to help.
