Staying Connected
At Chiltern Hills Academy, we are proud of our former students and the paths they take once they leave us. Our alumni are an important part of the CHA community, and we love to celebrate their achievements, share their stories, and welcome them back as role models for the next generation.
Through our CHA Alumni Network on LinkedIn, we keep in touch with ex-students, follow their journeys, and invite them to inspire today’s learners with talks, mentoring, and workshops.
Inspiring Stories
Recently, we were delighted to welcome back Brad White, a former student who is now a Propulsion Engineer at European Astrotech. After completing his MSc in Astrophysics, Brad went on to work in the fast-growing space industry.
Students were fascinated to hear about his role in high-altitude balloon operations, test work, and STEM outreach, as well as his experience as a fully certified SCAPE operative. Brad even took part in the Transporter 4 launch campaign at SpaceX, Cape Canaveral, where he fuelled the EnMAP spacecraft — an unforgettable example of where ambition, hard work, and resilience can take you.
Giving Back
Our alumni community plays a vital role in inspiring and supporting current students. There are lots of ways to get involved:
- Sharing your achievements for our website or newsletters
- Giving a careers talk about your journey after CHA
- Running or joining a workshop
- Acting as a mentor
- Offering work experience placements
- Supporting with networking or advice
